Why Resolutions 2012?

Remember those days when only a scolding from Dad used to change the habits.
So, why do we need a New Year resolution to overcome the laziness? Why do we need an external force rather a materialistic reason when the internal forces can drive and make sure you go on long?

This year – atleast there’s no resolutions for me.
I am not planning to do anything which will start from 1st of Jan and probably won’t even last that long.

While life is moving on with the same pace each day and there is no place to sit back and plan most of the time, it becomes even more difficult to plan for a resolution.
I recall writing a post last year related to resolutions 2011 quoting the do's and Dont's.
It's almost the end of 2011- and many a times when I re-read that particular post made me realise -It's seriously easy to pen down and too difficult to follow the same.

2011 was like all other years filled with surprises and shocks. And, while I have been hearing - " Come out of your comfort zone" for the past 6 months, the only thing which I learnt is - every person seeks for their comfort zone and end up saying -" Life will be easy if you come out of your comfort zone."
Ironical but true.

The most funny of all things which 2011 has shown is to start laughing at your mistakes, enjoying the simple pleasures. I have loved walking alone for past few months. It really gives a peace of mind, time to think and resolves a lot many doubts.
But, I never planned for a daily walk till today. It randomly happens- and requires no prior resolution.
Probably, there are many who knew -"Take life as it comes to you funda". May be I knew it too. But, practicing it is a bit tricky. Slowly and gradually- every other day seems alike but at the end of the day - it's unique in it's own way.

No matter where I started, no matter where I will end- when at the end of the day-
there are no resolutions which are broken and there is nothing to lose.

These days- every morning I wake up and do not plan. And, some days things actually click.
One fine morning, when everything worked and everything is beautiful around.
Do we still need some resolutions?

May be today was the right day and you made a resolution for the next week and lost the opportunity which knocked your door.

Resolutions are just a process to keep yourself going.

Trying to keep going on happily everyday.

Hope this one works!!

TAINTED

The voices crying,
howling and roaring,

I hear the heresy
reject and proceed.
Mid way - the blood bleeds.
It asks and none answer.

The wait is interminable.
The jist incomparable.
It perhaps have blended in our soul too.
The city's subversion of rural innocence.
Give and take is the final solution.

We destroyed,
the little believes we had.

Shattered.

Ranbir Kapoor : RockStar

Amidst the fading passion for writing, Rockstar just brings a ray of hope for me.

It has been one of the most awaited movies of 2011.The music has actually overpowered all senses.
The songs to name a few- "Phir se Udd chala", " Nadaan Parinde", "Tum ho", "Jo bhi mai"...and the like are always played on a repeating list.
The wait for 11.11.11 had been too long but the effect just lost it's charm in and out of hall.

Ranbir Kapoor - the rising star. A.R. Rahman -The pride of India. Mohit Chauhan- An absolute solace provider with a divine voice. You can actually feel the love and pain of songs in his voice. Absolutely different lyrics.

You actually seem to wonder -Are these really the lyrics or am I wondering? I did so for -
"Kaagar kaagar
Morhi itni araj tohse
Chun chun khahiyoo maas
Arajiya re khahiyoo na
Do nain mohe
Khahiyoo na do nain mohe
Piya ke milan ki aas
Khahiyoo na do nain mohe
Khahiyoo na do nain mohe
Piya ke milan ki aas"

While I have always known that promos and music is mostly deceiving when it comes to Bollywood but the combo pack which Rockstar has, shows the way to theaters, though just once.

But, I am surprised at Imitiaz Ali. Though Luv Aaj Kal had been a trace but atleast we expect a better story line from the director who has given us -"Socha na tha" and "Jab We Met". Probably, Luv aaj Kal should have been kept in mind too.

When you start watching Rockstar after a few reviews already on web. You can actually see each and every possible flaw time and again.
The most important flaw: -who else but Ranbir's eye candy- Nargis.
Words are seriously less to criticize her. A loud role, and cheap comedy doesn't really harm a movie but when it's Nargis on stage- yes! it harms a movie.
Recalling Ayesha Takia from Socha na tha potrayed a similar character but it suited her so well.
The first scene to last scene - Nargis is equally bad in each one. Too loud, too adventerous and seriously very monotonous.
A Delhi boy -who is innocent and loves food with a desire to be a singer suddenly meets a girl, acts silly, proposes her and gets dumped. Well, you can definitely laugh out loudly on the innocent Ranbir. The worst dressing sense in the initial scenes makes it more funny.
The dialogues-"Junglii Jawani", " Palang Tod", " Burger Off-mujhe toh iska matla bhi nahi pata" brings a smile on face. Ranbir's reaction on -"Dil todne ki machine hai yeh" is awesome. The Scene after he is dumped and gives thousand different expressions and says-" Itni se chutney mai do samoshe kao mai" is laughable.
There was not even a single scene where Ranbir has been found misleading the performance.
Though it's true that better words and best music can come from a painful heart. But, a poor editing made the transition so dull. Apart from Kun faya no other scenes could make you feel for the guy.
The promotions said there is a wonderful chemistry between Ranbir and Nargis. I surely, was not able to find it. No love, no pain only anger which is seen in Ranbir's eyes and attitude. But, the only question was- Were not the reasons to be so angry with the world silly. When the girl is still hanging out with the guy, what's the reason for such a hue and cry. Perhaps, the similar acting but a different plot would have made the movie a memorable one.

The most illogical part of film is where the actress recovers in the presence of Ranbir calling it the magical touch. Although, if it had been a miracle, she would have been  perfectly alright. But, the fluctuating health of Nargis takes an unending sine curve. Nargis Fakhri is an utter failure at capturing that essence -- as Heer she was to be both wilful and wild, enigmatic and tragic. Try as you will to like her, her mouth gets in the way.
Unbelievable and even "exaggeration" would be a small world.

The last scene where "Nadaan Parinde" ends on Nargis's entry leaves a open ended movie. Did the actress really died. If yes, where has the magical touch lost and if no, then is there any end of the movie.

Rockstar leaves many questions unanswered. It lacks a story line up and the most annoying thing - it repeats the same old story with which Bollywood has been surviving.  For that anger in Rockstar, the audience demand a better reason.
Also, if only a break up could lead you to a great sensational star with a "I don't give a damn" attitude and lots of fame and money, our half the population had been Sensational singers. And, if only a mere presence of a person could heal you, Doctors would never be required nor would MBBS so tough an exam. :P

The essence of  reality and logic would have added a glory to Rockstar, alas.
We appreciate the honest work by Ranbir. But, sometimes it's not the intimate scenes in the movie which makes the chemistry glow, it's the process to make your audience feel so.
To end, Rockstar is not so awesome as expected but the music is adorable.
Rightly said by someone, Rockstar could have been Zanjeer for Ranbir.Go and watch it for Ranbir and to hear the charisma of music.

That Mysterious World of Advertisements

From time immemorial, the best of the selling techniques has been Advertisements. In between that one movie you had been waiting to watch for so long on T.V. ..comes an half an hour long advertisement making you flip the channels, search for new shows but ends up in finding the advertisement on every other channel you flip. :D

They say- "First impression is the last impression." It might not go right for every damn thing in the world but goes very true for the lucrative ads people make.
You can have a look http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/70-creative-advertisements-that-makes-you-look-twice/  for the same.

I would say we have always had a series of creative people who have made one of the best ads ever. Also, people might not have necessarily bought the things after seeing the ads but we definitely appreciate the effort.

I have my Facebook page glowing with the ads every now and then.
The Kitkat ad which says- "Have a break, have a kitkat" is counted on my list as one of the cutest animations portrayed. Such a simple way to say -It's a beautiful life, but you should have some spare time to witness it.To be true enough, I still think it was the charm of the ad which made me replace Cadbury from Kitkat.

The same goes for Idea's -"What an idea Sirji" and especially to the 3G par Busy ...The first look made me laugh aloud. The second one- what a brilliant way to mock at yourself and still show the brilliance of 3G technology.
But the creativity is not visible in every ad we see. Last night, while flipping the channels-I saw some of the worst ads made-One of the leading ones is new EverReady ad. It's horrible with no limits.

"Washing powder Nirma" is still hummed and still recalled. That's when we say-"Old is gold."
The Loreal, Pantene, Garnier and so on..ads make the natural beauty their own discoveries. And we the people believe every minuscule of it. Rather, we don't believe it but are always willing to try something new. The sales rise. The latest Handbags ad featuring Kareeena Kapoor is one of the best showing the mood swings. You will definitely want to see it again. The ad is about a girl searching for a perfect Black hand bag and ends up buying an orange one. The basic aim was to satisfy your customer and tolerate their drastic mood swings. But, orange-GO GET A LIFE!! An orange hand bag sucks. I would have appreciated the ad more if it had not been the poor choice of color.

Advertisements, sales and popularity probably have become partners. Each one contributes to the success of another.

You can witness the same advertising policy and charm during the release of a movie. Everyone would  remember Ghajini and Ra.One's publicity stunt.

That mysterious world of advertisements is just like "THE CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC." If you don't know about it-Confessions is a movie about a girl who loves shopping to the heights. I have always loved the movie and specifically the shopping part. Advertisements- They make you believe, they make you want things and actually fall for them. You might feel I am exaggerating.
So, how many of you love your iPhone, Samsung Wave or HTC as a matter of fact. Many  of us. Steve Jobs was so true when he said that you often need to tell people what they actually want by making them seeing one.

Advertisements did the same.

How much is too much?

They say – “Excess of everything is harmful”.

An extra sweet coffee is equivalent to the  pain in the  ass as is caused by overburden of work.

From excess clothes in the wardrobe which makes it clumsy each day to a huge gathering where people become crowd- & The list goes on.

But when do you come to know that the necessary things in life just became excess. Of course, the question sounds stupid when it is terms of sugar in your coffee. But, is it really that funny?
The last few days have left me pondering- How much is too much?
Every human being is unique. But in spite of the differences , every one gets happy, sad , excited and loses his patience.
The bounds of the familiar emotions I mentioned above are not defined. They say patience is a virtue.
And, there's no limit of patience.

I was once asked - Which is better-Being Patient or being cool?
This dates back to college where I didn't understand the difference between the two much. And I replied -Patience.

But today being Cool is more appealing as the difference is perfectly understood. :)

The last couple of days or  may be months have left me pondering over a series of emotions- I could not understand whether it is Depression, irritation, frustration, expectation or a series of dissatisfaction. Although, whatever it might be, it left me with the feel how much is actually a tolerable range for a normal human being.

And, certainly my limits have been crossed at certain times too. But, the only thing I could not understand is-

They say- Patience is a virtue. But, did it even crossed anyone's mind that it might become your weakness as well.
Of course the outcome of such bursts is not overwhelming. You end up being caught in disturbing situations.

In these few months/days,
1.Patience might be a virtue, but even it's excess makes you feel weak and helpless inside. And you can see that change in yourselves in and out.

2.They say being short tempered is a lack of trait. I agree. But, not getting angry when you actually need to reflects-
a)The unresponsive behavior which leads you to become monotonous and emotionless.
 b) Also affects the human characteristics.
c)Too much of patience makes you lose your inner self.

3.Get angry, abuse people but just try not to do the same on the risk of your job. Rather, be prepared you have another one in your hand. :D

I have often felt the need to answer this one- You never know how much is too much until the same circumstances are faced by you.
Even excess love turn you disappointing. If a certain someone asks you about your daily routine at the same pace each day- the boredom in relationship starts reflecting and a day comes when you feel it's better to let go even if it had been the best you have had all through your life.

It's better to clear away things as they pass on. Sometimes, clearing away your head makes space for new tortures to be accommodated.

Neither does everyone understand the same, but it gives a relief to know that I just understood it.

"I hate you like I love you"

If I ask anyone out here-Anyone's waiting for RaOne?
The answer could vary from "Yeah"... Exciting yeah to It's definitely rubbish.
My answer was the latter-" The superhero image and Shahrukh". It definitely doesn't go along too well.

The Blue superhero dress and action trailer are just horrible.
The film is jointly produced under Khan's production company Red Chillies Entertainment and Eros International, and was originally scheduled to release in the summer of 2011.But got extended and is to be released on 26th Dec 2011.

To be true enough I hated “Chamak Challo"   the very day I saw the song. The red sari  is just too saucy. To add the spicy flavour we have the worst choreography and expressions. But, on a second thought-Shahrukh's movies are for entertaining. Apart from Swadesh and Chak De, there are hardly sensible movies. Of course when Aamir can give us Delhi Belly, RaOne can be expected from SRK.

There was a time when  SRK and Salman were one of my favourites. The time goes back to release of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Pardes and so on. The lover boy image in DDLJ is still cherished. Who won’t love the Rahul scenes over there. “ Rahul- Naam toh suna hoga”.
SRK was always the same in his expressions, dialogue delivery and even the movie content. Of course Darr and Bazigar were different. I have also seen Circus- the T.V. show from where SRK entered the industry. Who knew the lead role in Circus could make to the KING KHAN tag, which actually can’t be denied. SRK and struggles , SRK and bollywood talks, SRK and Gauri- numerous stories behind the star.
Although, I personally feel the simple Shahrukh was much adorable than the one whom I see in total attitude. Sarcasm being the greatest asset . SRK has it’s own Brand value. But, somehow the movie choices have degraded. I agree that they were never  too great. But with
KANK-the heights of criticism raised to new levels.  MNIK was too long. I have always loved SRK and Kajol’s pair but could not find the same beauty in MNIK. Though I loved the “Cloud scene “ in the movie when he searched the only unseen and most beautiful place for proposing  Kajol.
MNIK was as expected not too awesome. But, the collections say it was a big hit. And I think similar will be the case for RaOne.

Somehow, we all know that SRK has it’s own charm. The other day while listening to Dildara- I loved the song, particularly lyrics. And I feel I would have embraced it even more-if that rocking music along with the beautiful song had not been followed. The lyrics are beautiful to praise your beloved. But, the fact that every genre should grasp it-Every disc and party should play it –the beauty of the song is killed by remixing it. I hope they learn to keep some things in life Simple and uncomplicated.

The basic notion of this write up was not to praise SRK. But, despite hating the amount of sarcasm, vulgarity and over acting, he still ends up being-"King Khan”. Although there are many who are going to take over industry particularly Hrithik, Ranbir Kapoor  etc.  but for SRK the only words I can utter right now is "You may hate him but still somehow you love him"

Is everyone a Friend?

So, the new Airtel advertisement says -"  Har Ek friend zaroori hota hai."   And everyone has appreciated the initiative. But,while pondering over the similar lines-I reached a conclusion although har ek friend zaroori hota hai,par kya har koi friend hota hai."

The dictionary meaning of friend is -"  A person you know well and regard with affection and trust" .
The other day I met a girl at the stop. We talked for a while and left. So,was she my friend?
The neighbors -whom we see every day and interact. Are they anyhow my friends. During these 2 decades of my life,I have met hundreds of people who term me as their friend. But I never understood how can you generalize the term FRIEND. May be that's the reason why-Best buddies/BFF came into being.
Friends -everyone you meet even once in your life is your friend perhaps.

But I have a different perception. You can be my neighbour, classmate or colleague. But, it takes something more to be a friend.
You need trust, affection as per the definition.
But,still there's more.

Friends are-
1.the people who will complete their assignment on time and make you complete yours.

2.those who teach you at the last moments in the most crucial states.

3.Who wake you up each and every morning -so that you don't miss your breakfast and your classes.

4.who will beat you mercilessly on your b'day and still fulfill each and every wish you make.(I still remember my chocolate

cake :) )

5.who respect your principles and values.

6. who know that you are completely insane but will still be there for you.

7.who will bunk classes, take you to the cafe and blame you for bunking the classes.

8. who regularly comment on your facebook disclosing your secrets (Right Apoorva? )

9.who will make a mess of your mood and then come and say "  Chal na ho gya na,chhod na...hota rehta hai".

10. Who will point out your weaknesses and make sure you improve.

11. with whom you party after failing an examination.

12. who knows your first, last and current crush.

13.who console you by saying -"  bahut badi nautanki hai"  .

14.from whom you seek advice.

15. ones you ask the solution of a unsolved question.

16.who cancel their trip for being with you on your birthdays.

17. with whom you share each and everything.

18. who know that you are still the same person even after years of separation.

The list would go on and on..

The only thing is- everyone can't be equally important in your life. There are always a few people who make life worth living, who bring out the best in you, whose presence is missed and recognized.

As I said before- "   Every friend is important, but everyone cann't be your friend."

The Princess In Me : )

While the all famous line goes as-“ It’s really difficult to understand girls. You never know what they are up to.”
True it is. Sometimes, I don’t even understand a single word I said or rather sometimes it’s tough to explain others what I need to say. Not that my communication skill has degraded but sometimes, I wish there were people who understood my silence. Most of us wish so.

When I enter my home after a long tiring day-Mom understands the silence and doesn’t query. Rather there would be a glass of cold water to make me calm down, forget whole “Terrible” thing about the day. Instead when  I reach home after a long journey, if only my bro is home-he won’t even admire my presence, leave alone the water thing. That has happened all through these years and is a habit now.  Although I know, he cares enough as seen from his viewpoint. He cares when my exams were on my head and he knew that his sister is so busy watching television that she has skipped her chapters  J. He cares when he knows I might not pass in a particular test and waits for my result as he waits for his. I, on the other hand, woke up at 6 am on his CBSE result and slept again before he told me his result as he already explained each and every question to me and I was so sure of his result. Though the anxiety and expectations are always high.
Suddenly talking about my family, I didn’t think to write over this. My hands just did so. May be September always makes me miss them more.

Talking about the silence to be understood, there have been infinite instances in anyone’s life where their silence has been misunderstood. I have friends who are actually great at being silent. They don’t make fuss of a thing, remain calm during each situation and are great.
When I tried to do the same –
1.I n School- they called me Geek. I was a T.V. freak though.

2. In College- They (N-11) knew I was going mad and crazy inside and thus, there was always get together in my room –(Courtesy Apoorva Sogani, Khushboo Sinha, Ratika Talwar, Manisha Sangwan and Pooja Bharagav, Akanksha Saxena,EC-batch and everyone who knew me well)  And the topic of discussion was –How to torture me. They used to torture-still do the same-take out all the secrets and then would ask me to IGNORE J And, it was always worked.
3. At Office- Have been extra silent during training. Most people noticed as they knew the reason behind. Have started mingling up. I wonder people might tag me as weird in days to come.

Just a few instances of being misunderstood or well understood. Obviously, we cannt make everyone understand . So, Let it go.

The thing is each one of us (Talking about girls in general, I have no idea about guys, they are weird perhaps-NO OFFENCE) wants to have friends, soul mate and family who understands them, make them feel valuable, admire them, forgets their mistakes or loves them inspite of the weird person they are.

I have always loved “Jab We Met” as I could always find the Perfect guy in Aditya and Miss imperfect in Geet. Kareena was awesome in the movie I would say. The blabbering  which sounded funny, makes you smile and a few dialogues which makes you ponder-“ Tum toh bahut serious the na life main…”.

Probably, everyone of us seeks for a perfect life patner.
Probably, there are only a few lucky ones who find one.
Probably, there are a few who find but are never able to say so or recognize it.
Sometimes, all we need is a person who listens to our non stop talks, makes sense out of nowhere, knows the difference between your happy and sad voice, knows the innocent person behind you and the bitchy one too and probably is there for you during your most critical times.

All you need is a little courage to understand what your heart wants you to follow. To be true enough, I still don't know it. Perhaps, I'm more dependent on my destiny now. But, somewhere deep down-I still believe in those fairy tales which said-"Mr. Perfect/Prince Charming" exists.

Perhaps, every girl believes herself to be a Princess. At least, I do!!!!

9/11

How a tremendously large city which is famous for its life, show and pomp suddenly is on fire. 9/11 is not just about the loss of glory but it's a tremendous loss of lives, innocent souls and the trust of being safe.

Its 9/11 year after year and it completes a decade. Still nothing fades away, though it isn't visible.
I still recall, I was in 7th Standard and the big news of 9/11 attack was flashing all over the television. The biggest and the most vital attacks ever. It's 10 years and whenever I sit back and think-I'm horrified at the pain, agony and loneliness of those who lost  their loved ones.

Although it seemed like another Sunday to me! But, somewhere deep down, we all know it's a BLACK DAY.Hope the people who lost their lives RIP and may their loved ones have the patience to bear the pain and move on.

9/11 definitely changed so many lives, shocked so many and terrorized everyone.Who knows the next lane I'm walking is safe or not. Probably " A Wednesday "  was made recognizing this fear.
Let us all fight this fear.
Amen

"Name Sake"

It's going to be 3 months in the city. And the city is yet very new to me. Unfamiliar I would say. The credit does go to my laziness. The companions are now just the Laptop and my Cell phone.
Well, perhaps nobody in the world have the power to replace the love you have for your gadgets.
Of course they keep you connected very well. Rightly said- "  Connecting People ".  Not just it represents NOKIA but it states  a true reality about the cell phones and WWW.

Relating to the Techy insight- I had always wanted an iPhone & Apple's Macintosh but since the very day I heard Steve Jobs resigning as the CEO of APPLE.
Suddenly, the desire to be one the Apple's customer died. I wonder -Did it just happened for me or many others felt the same way.Not that any of Apple's products got degraded in one night but the charisma to have them just vanished. I did find out that the share markets dropped by 7% by mere hearing the news of Steve resigning.
Actually,it's not a big deal for many around me. Some of them still don't know who STEVE JOBS is. But,the news did come as a shock to me.

I have been hearing of his ill health from Jan. 2011. And on Thursday morning, when I entered office and as any other day opened the news coloumn-the whole e-news had "  ANNA HAZARE"   all over it. I scrolled down as usual as I'm not very fond of reading everything-and there came the shocking news.
Felt as if 2 min. of silence had occured. I couldn't believe and couldn't react.Flipped the pages from  TOI to The Hindu to The Wall Street to the Economic Times.
Found the person I have admired so much saying- "   I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come. I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee."

Apple has become a brand so famous that even the slighest news engrosses attention.
Coming to the term -" BRAND"  .
Although I don't need to explain but here it goes-
From Nokia, Samsung, HTC, APPLE, Ericsson and so many more to HP, Dell ,Lenovo(Although I personally never liked the lappy's texture :P)...to Britannia,ITC Ltd.,McDonalds, Dominos to Puma,Cantabil,Raymonds,Woodland...MIcrosoft,Facebook, Google,IBM and so many.
Even if you  know nothing about the entire mnc and still it's famous- "  yaar!!jo bhi bol naam hai company ka."
Have myself spoke these lines, I don't know how many times.
Certainly, believed them too. But, on a broader front -it takes years to be known for-years to reach the list of the Top Brands.

And we, the normal people because of whom these brands are making money end up running after them- either buying the gadgets, admiring them, wishing to be one of their owners and certainly many of us ending up working for them. All these atleast very true for a person like me.

They say- MONEY and FAME is a man's best buddies. They give you every possible materialistic comfort and many a times take away all the peace. Still, we end up seeking pleasure only after we make the hell of our peaceful life.Making me understand that ->

1.Money is really costly.
It takes years to actually become a rich person.(From Experience).

2. We all desire for FAME.
But, the more famous we are-the more onerous is the task.

3.All we need is a peaceful life.
I have felt this in college specially during 7th sem.
I still recall talking to my Dad over the phone and uttering-
"  Sleep is the most important thing in this life. If I can't have a sound sleep, what's the use of achieving all what I have and working for it mercilessly day and night."
And actually, have started feeling that way too.

4.Do what you actually love And if it's not possible start Loving what you do.
Nothing in the world can satisfy humans. But, the above lines might help.

I have understood the power a Brand Name has and perhaps has ended me where I' m today.Still figuring out was it worthy enough.

Journeys!!

They begin,they end.
And they begin again.
Solace they do provide,
Sometimes give a place to hide.
We meet ,we part
but that meeting on the way just gives the glory,
and the smiles do last.

In these long years of existence,
journeys have been troubling,
bothering and long.
I ponder time and again,
what I recall is just the happy frames.

The butterflies amidst the traffic lights,
I picturize, smile and walk away.
The clouds which often go from blue to Grey,
It rains but the rainbows still hiding midway.
The hustle-bustle of the busy world.
doesn't Spare my time for me.
Again it's just the journeys,
May be memories down the lane.

One life for a million wishes,
or million wishes for one life,
We dream,desire and hope.
We act,succeed and move on.

With mild thoughts,
walking on the way,
Each morning has it's own tale.
I know it's mine.
My treasure -my fame.

My space-my name.
Will last with me,
Surreal but true.

As I go along,
Letting me the way I am and will be.

"Choices Have Their PAYOFFs"

Recently during the training session, I got to hear this phrase which goes as follows-
"   Choices have their PAY OFFS"   .

As all other things this didn't sound so attractive, but within a gap of 5 distinguished minutes I could understand each and everything around me.I seriously don't know how many of us realize this thing-but It's just a matter of what I chose and what I didn't.

From the very beginning of a human life,we start to make choices from " I like chocolates to I hate summers"  .Everything is perfectly planned.Recently the phrase above has become the motivation of the recent activities and livelihood.
A few days back each and every question which used to be-" Why the hell am I stuck here?"   has an answer because you chose it.
Wouldn't  it be wonderful if we knew what will be the result of a particular choice we make-Talking unrealistic and stupid perhaps.

To see a wider view of everything around when we begin to make decisions -the first thing which should go hand in hand is " respect to your own decision"  . But the reality is a bit different.
When I choose, I somehow lose. And sometimes, the choices are  life-threatening-They sometimes take away the most precious assets you have ever had.Still a man without mistakes wouldn't be termed a real human!! Payoffs are simply a gesture to know what are you leaving behind. And we humans realize it late.
They say NEVER ASSUME - as assume stands for " ASS U ME" .
Never Assume that every choice is right nor is every choice wrong. It's probably how we deal with it.

I read the following lines on Mani's Facebook and loved them-
"I didn't ask for it to be over, but then again, I didn't ask for it to begin. For that's the way this is life, as some of the most beautiful days come completely by chance. But even the most beautiful days eventually have their sunsets."
Life is a comedy. The more you laugh with it-the better it turns out. It's almost 50 days here. Every other day I wake up and think it's going to be a better day this morning. Some days are horrible, some are just the simple days without obstructions and still waiting for the perfect happy days to turn up.
Suddenly flashing is "  Konkana Sen's "   image in Wake Up Sid--
New girl in the City--still trying to get into the new shoes although they sometimes pain a lot. Lets see how it turns out.

With another blissful morning and rains washing all the left overs,Looking forward for another chunk of story.

Life after college !!!

So, while I left writing a few months ago, finally the urge to write again brings me up here again.
"Am I really graduating?"   I have felt this more often than have I written it.
And, somewhere deep I know everyone of us feels this. While those last days of filling up diaries & pen downing memories have already ended. Whenever I think over, I just get a feeling that it’s another vacation added to the last 4 years.  While I remember those getting up early in order to reach classes on time during 1st year, making assignments and EG sheets , dozing off in those extra boring lectures, enjoying a few of the classes, Lab hours which created all my social contacts on orkut  n Facebook of which I suppose just FB  has lasted this long.
When EC- CD happened, it never appealed to me that it would be an integral part of me. Every morning when I wake up these days, there are no calls to Siny or Isha to cancel classes. There are no more dozing hours during lectures, no more study breaks during chit-chat hours. I kind of miss those classes and specially the parts which lead us to the “ Cafeteria”. Lately, just dreamt of being in college and ended in the Café meeting everyone. Sometimes, dreams  do take you a world of your own.
Coming back to hours spent at Sharma Treat- with tea or specially Coffee for me!! , shopping and even taking pictures at LS . J  Just roaming about the college with friends . Today, when  I sit idle at home, I think I even enjoyed those work hours at hostel.
Missing  @Mani a lot, “Ab mujhe VD  download kar ke kaun dega.” Khushi was right I suppose in this case. J There were never any dull hours while our N-11 was together and specially b’coz Appu would come and laugh at every expression I gave or every word I said. I miss those countless hours Khushi had spent to make Appu understand what I was trying to say. Missing Rati and her teasing hours too L.
There are lots of moments from-classes, assignments,  Ppts,  Emft  n Economics k bunk hours :P!! Just letting you know- that
@Manisha aka mani aka maniya :- will really miss the latest updates & ofcourse the great downloads!
@Khushi- already missing your numerous treats, tera assignment karna, humesha class k time sote rehna lol  & ofcourse being my intermediater :P
@RAti aka Rats Aka Ratika- missing those naughty comments & lazy you :P, those long walks at night n those hours at C’mon room.
@Apoorva aka Appu aka Aps- Missing our long …no no very very long chats!! Tujhe ping krna-“Kya kar rahi hai.” Tujhe new movies and Korean shows dikhana :P I miss you specially when I wake up –kyunki ab tu roz subah uthati ni hai na L. And specially the" WTF –Where’s the food” hours!!
Ending up here, Senti hone k mann ni hai aaj.
Missing everyone,
Yours Chittu aka Chi2 aka C2

Let it be my way!!

When I first looked at this picture, it did appeal to me a lot.
But, to be really frank -my first thoughts regarding this piece of work was the similar and most often thought of -" a regular journey of a common man."  And at some point of time, yes it is a regular journey of a common man-who has been working days and nights for his/her livelihood, lost in their own thoughts as if continuously living a monotonous life. Every morning when he opens his eyes after a sound sleep, comes back to his senses is a list of duties and responsibilities. Perhaps, all of us might have seen someone working in a similar fashion around.
So, it's a part of a day in a common man's life.
But on a second thought, it just reminded me of  a destination followed by many of us. No, I am not referring to the Metro but the same old route which everyone takes up to go.
On a stage which actually I have been through and have seen too, people have a tendency to flow with the mass. When I refer a metro, it saves time and fuel-efficient. Every one accommodates his/her place to have a secure and safe journey. People on the way, might be of jolly or serious nature, but on an individual basis everyone is pacing up to get their respective goals. Doesn't that seem a much known trend followed??
We get the calculated response-- >
Q. What do you want to be?
A. ( A well prepared ans.) Engineer, Doctor or may be something which again follows the so called  " Trend".
I don't say that everyone does that or rather everyone does that knowingly. But, my whole and sole point is that everyone has a friendly gesture towards the things which can be done at ease.
Why would anyone, as a matter of fact, be the cause of his/her own misery?
Still amidst the crowd you would witness in a local compartment of a local train, you might actually be overwhelmed to see a person willingly offer his seat to someone really in need of one.
Although, we all are in the same lane moving ahead to a brighter future, somehow, somewhere exists in all of us a desire to be different, yet travelling in the same followed path.
But, when the path is more travelled, there is a wider hope of getting to a destination which is known  and  explored.
But with technology, comes a way to reach and develop our own paths and destination.
I hope someday, each one of us, gets there happily.
In spite of the thousands of people travelling, amidst them I might be the one still wondering
which path to follow and rather what really is my destination ?
If even you have witnessed such a situation, join me to say- "  What if it's a familiar lane, I can still turn it my way."

Endings!!

"Jo beet gyi,so baat gyi
Jeevan Main Ek Sitara Tha
Maana Vah Behad Pyara Tha
Vah Doob Gaya To Doob Gaya
Ambar Kay Aanan Ko Dekho
Kitne Iskay Taare Toote
Kitne Iskay Pyare Choote
Jo Choot Gaye Fir Kahan Mile
Par Bolo Toote Taaron Par
Kab Ambar Shok Manata Hai
Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi"

These are one of my favourite lines from Harivansh Rai Bacchan. The lines talk about the essence of endings.
So what if it ends-we do have to move on.
So what-if things turn out badly, we will still try to figure it out and make sure the end is perfect.
Shakespeare once said, " All is well, that ends well."But,sometimes it just ends.

Talking about endings, and not going too much melodramatic over it,let me begin.
Endings as we know can be for anything-
for a relationship or for a phase.Just like our school life ended, there was fear of entering a totally unfamiliar lane with unknown people and surroundings. But, I guess it turned out to be a bliss. Sometimes, the things which seem to be the most dreadful of all might be in your greatest favour.Who knows when destiny engulfs you and embrace you.
To be very specific, I am a little afraid of the new life which I am going to have, little more afraid of parting away from my loved ones and the worst fear is not seeing them ever again. But, so far what I have learnt in this life is - "when you fear to lose something, it really must have mattered to you lot." May be fear of losing is God's way of letting you know that you care enough to hold on.
No matter what, if your journey was short and sweet and ends on a peaceful note, it should never be regretted.
I thought about writing more, but even this seemed appropriate. So, what's wrong with the endings?
Perhaps, nothing!! Everyone has a role in someone's life to let the lesson be learnt thoroughly, and when the part is played it ends.

Appreciating the ends for a better tomorrow!!

When you go marching side by,
Things bothering you definitely come along..
Jingling with the  sunshine,
still waiting for the moments,
But, when the wait is too long,
Patience hyped,
What a subtle mind recalls-
is just the good old days--
which never incommode,
where fears were not horrifying..

I wish--
When I go marching by,
sidelines too merge,
as if celebrating,
things go high,
and I am not exaggerating..

No More Empty Promises!!

I sat ideally with the busy bee panache,
And yet there pinched the beauty of  decorum,
feting the Valentine week.
So,the day is termed as The Promise Day,
and I opted to diverge.
With each year's promises,
I tend to furcate.
The ramification commences,
This time my heart and my mind accord to say
and leave all empty promises mid way.
They say no to being anything "Forever",
For I know there is nothing like it.
The outlook alters
due to that elusive thing the soul !!
However vicious  may it sound ,
Being rational enough !!
Saying adieu to all false promises,
burning away the needless loss of anticipation..
urging to let actions not speculate wordsplay.
Thus,Saying  no to all empty promises!!!

Note-Special thanx to Manisha Sangwan #behind_inspiration.

Sunk..

Keen to understand,
But failing every time,
What is it that differentiates my heart from my mind?
Still not sure of it..
Is it the beauty which  heartsease .
Personified they are for just a brief instance,
I know it's insane,
without vanity and pain..
Do I still wander around,
For just that pure sound,
Vociferating ,exhausting and exaggerating!!!!!

Little did I know !!

My heart is weeping today, It is not just my eyes. My soul is dead today,  Not just my body. When you try to be brave,  But the heart has g...
